"Bubbles in the Wind"

Chapter 1
A Bit of Loving Advice

By BethShelby

Love at first sight is a myth.
Don’t fall for the tender trap.
Love is a precious present
one should carefully unwrap.
Tame your heart less it fall fast
into a trap of danger,
where one you think you know well
turns out to be a stranger.

You believe there’s chemistry.
You are hoping for a bond;
a match that’s made in Heaven,
stretching to the great beyond.
 True love needs some time to grow;
infatuation wavers.
Butterflies oft flit away
to savor other flavors.

Love is not a one-way street;
it’s like an intersection.
Two hearts much unnite as one,
lf love;s to have direction.
When you find a heart that’s true
and pledges love forever,
it’s worth its weight in diamonds--
with bonds no one can sever.

Chapter 2
Everlasting Love

By BethShelby

We met when I was still so young,
love needed time to grow.
Two years would pass before I knew
I'd  never let you go.

You didn't look at other girls
or ever let me down.
I learned that I could count on you
to always be around.

With passing years, I loved you more
than on our wedding day.
You proved to me a million times
your love was here to stay.

Those days flew by on falcon wings;
six decades, plus a year.
We realized time of fading fast.
The future was unckear.

Five years have passed since our last kiss
We whispered,"Bye, for now."
We knew we'd meet again someday.
God would provide the how.

Love isn't something meant to die.
The gift come from above.
When it is nourished here on earth,
death never swallows love.
