Up on Tower Mountain, lies...

The Magic Fountain

His horse was waiting by the castle keep,
as Greyson stood and watched his sister sleep.
A sorcerer had placed a curse so bold,
that she would surely die, sages foretold.

No one could tell by looking at her face,
her peaceful countenance a state of grace.
But Greyson knew the truth, that Emmaline,
would very soon run out of precious time.

Fast, he sped to climb up Tower Mountain,
rumor was, it had a magic fountain,
whose waters would remove the very worst,
of any sorcerer's most rancid curse.

With sword and bottle, Greyson made his climb,
so rocky that his horse, he left behind.
Then soon he spied the fountain in the sun,
redemption for his sister had begun.

But there, a monster rare was lurking near,
any who would dare approach would run in fear.
Greyson was brave, but even he had paused,
when seeing red eyes glow, and long sharp claws.

With sword drawn Greyson bravely faced his foe,
the claws raked deep, later on, his scars would show.
His blows rained down, and still, the monster raged.
Though weakened, Greyson fought, he was unfazed.

Then just when everything seemed at a loss,
his sister's life, no doubt, would be the cost.
A bird with brilliant feathers fluttered by,
the sweetness of her songs filled up the sky.

It seemed to lull the monster fast asleep,
while closer to the fountain, Greyson creeped.
And then the bird spoke, much to his surprise,
she said she was an Elf Queen in disguise.

For to the elfin realm, the story spread,
of how his sister, cursed, lay in her bed.
So touched they were, the queen used her sweet voice,
the monster slumbered deep, he had no choice.

The bottle then was filled with water sweet,
Then Greyson sped, like wings were on his feet.
Raced down the mountain, quickly to his horse,
and for the castle keep, he set his course.

Young Greyson joined his sister in the keep,
and lovely Emmaline was still asleep.
The bottle, Greyson tilted to her lips,
just one drop at a time the water slips.

Until his sister opened up her eyes,
and Greyson held her tight, that's no surprise.
The water from atop the Tower Mountain,
had worked, it truly was a magic fountain.

The mighty Elf Queen set scouts out to find,
the sorcerer who'd cursed young Emmaline.
So, he no longer could do others harm,
Kingdom to Kingdom, she spread the alarm.

Soon, he was found and stripped of his power,
and banished to live alone on Mount Tower.
But he's not by himself, you will soon see,
he's not alone as you might think he'd be.

The sorcerer who cursed young Emmaline,
resides on Tower Mountain you will find....
He's with the monster who still slumbers there,
with powers gone, he's doomed to share his lair.

Now all is happy in the castle keep,
for Emmaline is no longer asleep.
