I often get asked why do I write?
I often get asked why only at night?
I often say, the dark is my rhyme
I often say, the dark holds no time

I write of things I've never seen
I visit countries I've never been
I pray for light I've never known
I feed the dark I've always sown

I feel the smiles when others read
I feel mistakes when "typos" bleed
I feel the joy that words can bring
I feel forsaken when sadness sings

my brailled keys hold all my light
my brailled keys release my sight
