Chair Side Romantic

by Mary Vigasin

My husband does not display affection in public. There is no holding hands, and a kiss is usually just a peck on the cheek.
On our anniversary, he took me out to dinner. It was his way of showing me that the day was special to him.

We sat down, and he leaned closer to me, then closer and closer. I was thrilled at how romantic he was getting. For someone who does not show affection in public, he was outdoing himself.

That is until the bending leg of his chair finally gave away, and he fell to the floor.
