A new season brings...

Awakening

by Boogienights

A warmth fills up the air these days of late,
song birds return, their music fills the air.
As winter loosens now it's icy grip,
and spring in all her wonder comes to bear.

This season's scents and colors will surround,
to bring us hope and chase away the gloom.
Soon trees will don their lovely gowns of green,
as nature makes their dresses on her loom.

The bear that slumbered long will soon awake,
and stretch her legs beneath a sky of blue.
Her copycats behind will follow suit,
for mama bear she knows just what to do.

Indeed all that lay dormant will awake,
the promise of a future shining bright.
For old man winter's reign has passed us by,
and in the gifts of spring we will delight.
