on sale in pet shop London writer on a whim bought a cute otter mischievous being clawed everything, landlord cried "out now with that Thing" hand over to zoo  didn't really feel right, so packed, they went north in search of a more soulful lifestyle in the moors, on Scotland's white shores took up residence in an old rundown cottage which he aimed to fix both loved the brisk air, Mij, his cool sea pond, and the sense of freedom there. writer found friendship with local doc,otter with female en passant critters roamed the vast wildnerness in blissfulness, then doom sadly loomed during twilight stroll, Mij was struck dead by stupid local ditchdigger a senseless death, a loss that wrenched owner's heart for several moons then out of the blue, short of a miracle, so unexpectedly, the following spring his heart skipped,when Mij's offspring with mom came to greet. Inspired, he penned book  about their special bond which captured many hearts
