My broken heart is...

Unmendable

by Boogienights

Somewhere between the romantic moon
and the harsh bright light of day,
the love we had ended far too soon
when someone new came your way.

Now underneath a dark moonless sky,
my broken heart, beyond all repair...
beats inside me as I wonder why,
 true love can end up in despair.

All of the sweet words you said to me,
whispered, with a passionate sigh.
Now seem like lines from a tragic movie,
with love once again blown sky high.

Now, alone with a heart badly shattered,
blind to your selfish ways for so long.
Our love that seemed so strong now is tattered.
I trusted and gave you my heart, I was wrong.

Friends have reached out with the best of intentions,
tell me I'm better off now you're gone.
But how to survive loneliness, nobody mentions,
 playing over and over every breaking up song. 

Perhaps another romantic bright moon,
might shine upon me and somebody new.
Two hearts that will sing a love song in tune,
until then my heart remains broken by you.
