Lift Me Up

I aim for the heights
my chair slowly climbs.
It's always uplifting
while passing the time.

Exciting adventures
ascending the stairs,
like riding the rides
you find at the fairs.

There's times my cat Mittens
will ride in my lap
and patiently wait
for our upcoming nap.

It's often I wish
that the fun wouldn't stop,
so I ride it back down
once I reach the top.
