If you work hard
Allie Appleton always wanted to dance as light as air,
Ballerinas are beautiful, she thought, they twirled without a care.
Carefully she saved her money from all the chores she did,
Don't you know, it all adds up, she was quite a determined kid.
Eventually, she had enough and signed up for dance class.
Finally, she had her chance, this lovely little lass.
Glorious, her toe shoes were, her dress satin and lace.
Her hair pinned up, she looked just like an angel full of grace.
Indeed, she danced as light as air across the wooden floor.
Joyfully without a sound, it was all she'd dreamed and more.
Kicking up her legs, Allie then spun up on her toes.
Lovely all the dancers were, how they did it no one knows.
Many from the audience stood up and let out cheers,
Nothing felt as nice as this, it brought Allie to tears.
Once Allie had dreamed of dance and now was on the stage.
Perhaps you have a dream as well, no matter what your age.
Quickly start to make your dreams come true and you will see,
Really working hard will make your dreams reality.
So, whether you would like to dance or be an astronaut,
Train conductor, fireman, just hold on to this thought.
Underneath the blazing sun or the cool night moon,
Vigilance is what you need keep it up and soon...
What you want will come to you like it did to young Allie.

You'll mark off that list in time and make your dreams come true.
Zest for life and happiness is what will come to you.
