Hurt and Betrayed...

Someone I Love.

by Boogienights

I wrote a new poem at the end of the day,
it ran rather long for I had lots to say.
Sad things about life, loving, death, and heartache,
the words overwhelmed me and caused me to shake.

Someone I love deeply is hurting right now,
I wish that my words could help heal her somehow.
But these words that drip from my pen to my page,
hold only my anger and terrible rage.

And tell me when that's ever helped anyone,
to bring out the darkness instead of the sun?
She told me about it and now she won't speak,
I'm feeling so helpless to help her, so weak.

For what can I say that will ease all her pain?
I know how she feels, though she does not explain.
I tell her I'm there if she ever needs me,
I hope she can work it all out and be free.

Still, it hurt my heart when she sat there and cried
for many years wasted on one who has lied.
A self centered person, I'm glad that he's gone,
who doesn't care for her and led her along.

An amazing woman who deserves so much more,
when she's done with this a bright future's in store.
My love for her can not be measured at all,
she'll rise up again after taking this fall.

I wrote a new poem at the end of the day,
it ran rather long for I had lots to say.
Sad things about life, loving, death, and heartache,
the words overwhelmed me and caused me to shake.
