For things that make me happy,
I will make a list for you.
There's many things that I could cite,
But I'll choose just a few.

When I do something 'round the house,
And my wife gives me praise.
And when my boss says, "Job well done,"
Then offers me a raise.

When I wake up and realize
Today's a holiday.
When visiting the dentist,
And he says there's no decay.

When hurricanes go out to sea,
And leave us safe on land.
When reading some directions
I can finally understand.

When all my family get the flu,
And it bypasses me.
When finally someone tells the truth
When they say, "It is free."

When I can lend a helping hand
To someone who's not whole.
When I can feel the Grace of God
Way down deep in my soul.
