Fantasy Lost

Two Stanza Poem Contest Winner 

Against the darkened sky a castle stands.
I dream of battles fought with shield and blade
or kings who rule with fear through their demands.
Perhaps a queen whose husband she's betrayed.

Where dragons, elves and wicked little trolls
encounter wizards casting spells of dread.
So sadly few appreciate these roles
upon the site where fantasy is dead.
