From 2001 America started to invest
billions in Ukraine ,
hoping to lure it in time towards the West.

Putin blared :" Beware, don't dare,
Ukraine is Russian soil,
tread carefully or war I will declare".

But America didn't scare;
it continued to stir the shit pot
and went ahead with its political complot.

It helped Zelensky in 2019 to seize power
and this provoked The Bear who's now out to devour.

Both leaders don't care
if their tugs of war cause gore.

America's in good part responsible for this nightmare,
which has left Europe in a nasty snare.

Already 2.6 million have fled to the West
while Kremlin continues its quest.

While peace talks hopefully will prevail in this political, territorial mess,
the entire world is under economical stress,
just to be alive people there feel blessed.

When I think all this hate is our leaders doing, I feel sick.
they all deserve a kick in the dick.

But I opted for peace
so I say:

"let love flow
it will cure
the world's woes"

I thought this entry was a 2-4-2 but instead a reviewer informed me that it was a two hundred and forty-two syllable entry so I added the 234 syllables missing ..original poem i posted initially is below .

I heard this song just over a month ago for the first time ..

Now first thing in the morning I play it to start my day on the right foot.

Fitting lyrics : LOVE can mend, cure our troubled, war stricken world.
