Ode to...

The Perfect Yard Sale

Ode Contest Winner 
The loaded tables in the yard,
with stuff were overflowed.
Quite interesting and special things,
just waiting to be sold.

Each item had a sticker price,
good bargains, every one.
A perfect sun shone up above,
the whole thing was so fun.

Yard sales are the very best,
it was unique, this sale.
The treasures that were found within,
deserved a mighty hail.

So much was sold, the money flowed
and when the day was through,
bags of stuff were taken,
the greatest thing, I'll tell you true!

I love yard sales, oh, so much,
I loved that one that day.
When neighbors came and bought my junk
and carted it away.
