Hush little Joey, don't say a word.
Mama's fairly certain you'll sound absurd.

If those dumb words get you sidetracked,
Mama's going to try hard to walk them back.

If Mama can't fix your words, I guess,
deny you ever said them to the press.

If they have proof of what you've done
Mama's gonna pull you from the podium.

There'll surely be laughs at your expense.
Mama tries to hide the fact you're slightly dense.

Mama says practice for hours if be
before you ever try to say "kleptocracy."

Don't say "Respond in kind" for our defense.
Don't make your own statements that make no sense.

I know you have goals that you hope to reach.
Mama hopes she'll never hear the word "impeach."

So hush little Joey, don't you cry.
You're mind's not there but we know you try.

Hold onto dreams that you represent
while Mama pretends that you're competent.
