Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level
Four stanzas-ab ab

My Road Through Life

The road I've traveled has been long.
My fellow travelers are gone.
They walked with me on rapid feet,
seeing them again would be sweet.

No one to hold my shaking hand,
or show love, show they understand,
hear my regrets or battles won.
All I see is life's setting sun.

The best of life seemed up ahead..
Things were not done, were left unsaid.
I pressed on without time to waste.
They are gone, caused  by reckless haste.

My feet are weary, painful, slow.
The road is short, where I must go.
I now approach the final bends
and wonder where this journey ends

August- 2022.
