Another Rhyming Contest Contest Winner

At eventide I'm seeking Him
amidst new-planted rows
where soybeans sprout, near old fence posts
on which the wild rose grows.

Down hay-strewn paths I wend my way
to stand of burr oak trees
and there I find Him whispering
as leaves spin in the breeze.

A skyward glance I see His hand
at work with paint and brush.
Hot pink He blends with lavender
until the heavens blush.

My day'd been long, my spirits low
when I first sought my Lord.
But this I found: He's everywhere--
His beauty our reward.
