Mr. Doodle MacGroodle

MR. DOODLE MACGROODLE AND HIS MARCHING WHITE POODLE

That silly old Doodle MacGroodle

he bought himself a fancy marching poodle

here they come! there they go!

every single place that they know

on the streets, marching to beats

that poodle would do tricks, for tasty treats

right and left! left and right!

that fancy poodle, a startling sight

all fluffy and puffy, with puffed up hair

a brilliant white white, that shined with great care

the townspeople whispered, and some even laughed

chuckled and snorted, snickered and gaffed

at Doodle MacGroodle and his marching white poodle

Not sure how this will go over with adults, but my two younger children really love this poem. They prance all about when I read it. Too funny!
