Today's Prompt Issues

I saw this contest and tried to come up with something awesome to write. I pondered about today's world issues or maybe something going in the lines of fantasy, with dragons, knights and kings. I also thought about a little, one hundred word crime story. That would have been pretty cool. Whatever it was, it was going to be epic, no doubt about it.
Then my wife yelled at me from the dining room, "Get off that stupid computer and get your butt in here and be part of this family reunion dinner, Richard! It's Christmas for crying out loud!"
