A Tribute to soldiers of color and their struggles at home.
I Still Rise

The photo is from the Internet and the poem was inspired by Maya Angelou's, 'Still I Rise'
This poem is a tribute to soldiers of color who have suffered mistreatment at the hands of some who do not recognize or fully appreciate our contributions to the country of our birth. This includes Asians, Hispanics, Indians, Arabs and any I failed to mention. Most of us served not out of compulsion, but out of genuine love for our nation, and its citizens.
