After all the difficult changes last month, a wonderful woman named Cindy came into my life and I began the process of starting over.
Cindy is my new caregiver, and she has come at just the right time in my life.

Amid the huge earthquake and the loss of two friends to start their lives anew, I was floundering in my own worries and traumas. Then came Cindy and her kind and caring ways...she offers herself openly, giving gifts to help me in case there is a need for them such as a power outage or another earthquake.

Cindy has proven herself over and over again to be the perfect caregiver for me by the way she has shown her efficiency in doing everything all the previous caregivers did and more besides.

She handles my meds and shopping and laundry and listens to me carefully as to what I need her to do next. She drives my car with a keen eye and as safe as the driver in "Driving Miss Daisy."

Knowing that Cindy is in my life, I feel free to write again and pursue other interests, such as walking with my walker, and soon, I will be hiking unaided on nature trails.

Someday, I will be walking on the beach barefooted and feeling my toes in the sand and hopefully, Cindy will be right there by my side.
