Aging With Poetry

Some years ago, when in my prime,

I turned ladies heads, all the time;

Then aging called, another day,

sending a need, along the way.

It told me that the past was gone.

What would I do to carry on.

Twas then this thought came unto me,

why not try writing po'etry.

This I did and to my surprise,

it caught both men and womens eyes.

It lifted life, this new found toy,

gave to my life, much peace and joy

I shall continue through my days,

enjoy comfort, po'etry pays.

Untill my time has come to go,

I'll seek joy in po'etic glow.
