At Thousand Oaks Elementary School
In Berkeley, California
In the early '60s.

We have traveled the world
Been to so many places
But somehow
We always kept in touch

When I was in the hospital
Having 14 operations
He was in DC
And visited me
Almost daily

And now
We are zoom buddies
Keeping our friendship
Alive

Across the Pacific Ocean
That divides us

We will be friends
Until we die
And perhaps
Again in our next life.
