Surprise! 80 Words or Less Contest Winner
Driving along the dark country road after finishing my late shift, tired and longing to get home to bed.
As I neared my turn off I saw flashing lights ahead.
I slowed down and stopped as there were two police cars blocking the road.
I got out of the car and saw a vehicle on its side. It was the same colour and model as mine.
A body lay in the road.
I looked at the face.
It was mine.
