Why waste the night, when you can write?

A Time To Write

by BethShelby

Minute Poetry Contest Winner

This is a night when my eyes close,

but I don’t doze.

I count some sheep

and try to sleep.

My music plays a lullaby,

and still I try

to get some rest;

a pointless quest.

It's best I use this time to write

throughout the night.

When I can’t snooze,

I'll wake my muse.
