If you shut your eyes I fall,

You behold the candles of my life,

Inside the lanterns of your eyes,

That separate your path from mine,

That the demons between us seek to destroy,

They’re exhausting the lights of my soul,

Hissing like snakes in your ears,

Distorting the truth of our love.
