Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level
He lifted me from darkness

Silver Angel

His silver wings glinted in the sun
Sun shining, me so depressed
Depressed, down, frown
Frown from loss, no laughter

Laughter was gone, black place
Place of loss, couldn't rise
Rise I did on Angel's wings
Wings of silver, strong hands

Hands belonged to my guardian
Guardian Angel, my faith restored
Restored my love of Lord Jesus
Jesus loves us all, He is love

Love I kept for my ex husband
Husband, friend, passed away
Away from this life yesterday
Yesterday he slept with Angels

Angel with silver wings tightly held
Held with strong hands, lifted
Lifted me up, the darkness left
Left and gave me back my faith

Faith awoke me from my place
Place of loss and grief gone
My dear friend stroked my head
Head filled with memories.

My Faith Contest Entry: It was my birthday, my ex husband (aged 93) passed away peacefully. When I awoke a butterfly landed on my wrist.
We will meet again, some sunny day.
