Dear God entry
Woke Toke Spoke
by Tom Horonzy

Dear God:
I.D.K. - I simply don't get it. Why has the majority given in to the agenda demanded by the minority? More, then less Americans are befuddled as well, do tell how... a dude feels, dangling his dingus while dressed as a Miss feels threatened or uncomfortable in a guy's lavatory, but won't comprehend how pre-woke mothers and daughters can feel endangered when "The Hons" invade the Motherland.
Furthermore, God, how does a radical thought brought by the left to the once revered Halls of Congress, capitulate, hook, line, and sinker to allow such 'stinker bills' to rise from the floor as stink from a stool being fully supported in toto?
What's next? Genderless water closets? Doesn't anyone in either party have a mind of their own? Has the Holy Spirit, who in the past resided therein, been tossed like the baby that got tossed with the bathwater?
Common sense adages written by Alex Dumas came alive to me last night, ones that should be revived, not contrived are, probably in bed with his wife not some guy-pal, penned... "Dear, What makes you a man is what you do when that storm comes."
Another he expressed was... "There are two ways of seeing: with the body and with the soul. The body's sight can sometimes forget, but the soul remembers forever."
One more I agree with is... "Learning does not make one learned: there are those who have knowledge and those who have understanding." (Maybe it would have been a misunderstanding if Dumas were in the world as it is today.)
And lastly, he proclaimed in The Three Musketeers, "All for one and one for all, united we stand divided we fall." Athos, Pothos and Aramis did not poke the pig to have it run 'all the way home,' squealing about fair play.
Changing gears, yet continuing on, I am reminded of a Sugarland song, "Stuck like Glue." There they claim their success came by sticking together, not only in harmonizing notes but meshing like a pair of well-fit gloves, akin to PB & J, not Nutella or Hummus.
To the aged herein reading this, can you imagine how kids in the 50's would have reacted had their lunch pails been impaled with Soybeans and Chickpeas?
We can agree to disagree. I am fine with that, but why did the majority cede control? How did the wokeness permeating Washington, D.C. take control of their lives? Did we and they conclude God must not be watching? It is as if we are living out an episode of "The Outer Limits."
I end, Dear God, as I began. I still don't know nor get what was wrong with "The Way We Were?" You are likely asking the same question.
Dear God contest entry
The rant within has been begging to be said for some time.
There is no ill intent intended. Individuals are given 'free will' to make decisions. They must accept the consequences, whether bad or good, but society should not be forced to swallow DEI and have their opinion suppressed.
