Love At First Sight

"He loves me, he loves me not, he loves me..."
I peeled off the fragile petals as I repeated the age-old chant of a lovesick girl.
Met him at the ball last night. Dark haired, tall and intense. I spotted him at once and couldn't believe when he walked right up to me and asked for a dance. The embrace of his strong arms made me shiver with pleasure, and to my delight he never let go of me.
"Can I see you again?"
"Oh, yes!"
"He loves me, he loves me not, he loves me..."
Tonight I should know.
