Unrequited love hurts

Hopeless Love

by Boogienights

When I walk upon the ground he walks upon,
my feet are light, my heart joyful.
I breath in the air where his words flow freely,
and my soul is filled with precious sweetness.
My very being glows from his accidental touch,
my feelings overflow because I love him so much.
My heart beats faster when he laughs,
I shout silently, joyfully when he is happy.
My heart longs to tell him of my love,
but this he must never know.
For he doesn't return this feeling,
though everyday my love for him grows in leaps and bounds.
With so much love in one small heart,
I wonder why it does not burst.
I cannot look at him because my eyes might betray me.
I still my voice when he is close,
fearing that one small tremor in my false light hearted tone
and he will know.
I walk upon the ground he walks upon,
I breath the air he breathes, knowing I will never be a part of him.
Sharing only his friendship, his kindness and his shining smile.
