My Sick Day

by Sugarray77

I just came up, for my coffee cup,
but I made the bed instead.
Which way's in, which way's out?
There's a cold inside my head.

"You need some meds," my hubby said,
"don't fool around this time."
He's gone to work and will never know
I plan to lounge and rhyme.

My cough is worse, yet still the verse
has caught my complete attention.
My sneeze and snort and all the yuck,
is not something I will mention.

The Pizza man, asks "thin or pan"?
Dinner will be delivered.
Meat Lovers for him while I'll ask for thin
with mushrooms and onions, slivered.

There is some trouble, I'm seeing double,
I guess a Doctor is a must.
A look in the mirror shows all of my woes,
plus several bits of dust.

I'm finally back, with a pill and a pack,
to relieve this horrible flu.
I've called Maids for a Day, they can come now, hurray.
No cooking, or cleaning, Aachoooo!!
