Like a River

Your love  is like a flowing river
River that refreshes and nourishes 
Nourishes a cracked, parched soul
Soul that eventually flourishes

Flourishes despite the beating sun
Sun that dries and hardens
Hardens- yet some seeds blossom 
Blossom into tropical gardens 

Gardens of rare exotic beauty
Beauty that delights and glows
Glows like the flower I became
Became your sweet desert rose
