We are the Potter's clay

Breath of Life

by BermyBye50

Upon a potter's wheel
sits the clay
still moist and supple
awaiting the
Creator's gentle touch.

Without form wondering
pondering its fate
upon first awakening
to life's initial
hope filled thoughts.

Of terra firma's dust
flesh was formed
by divine immortal
hands did man's
design first take shape.

Adam is quickened
a living being
became, stands up
breathing his
first breath of life.
