A True Story

Ghost

by Boogienights

Gently, after my Dad passed away, his spirit came into my room one day.

Grieving then and hurting bad, feeling overwhelmingly sad.

Glad to see him, just a little afraid, a glowing light in the darkness he made.

Given that I knew he was gone, I thought it a dream, but not for long.

Guess he knew I missed him so, when young girls hurt, dads usually know.

Gone then was all my hurt and fright, when he said everything would be all right.

Gratefully, I soon came to see, my Dad would always watch over me.
