Has it really been 50 years
Years that we've shared to build a life
Life full of joy and happiness
Happiness based on a deep love

Love inspiring us to climb mountains
Mountains that shrank into molehills
Molehills never amount to much
Much ado about nothing ruins

Ruins relationships and wastes
Wastes precious time and energy
Energy that could be used to find
Find ways to express devotion

Devotion to the one I knew
Knew to be that special person
Person whose hand and heart I'll hold
Hold for another 50 years
