Feelings on a summer eve

Feelings Contest Winner

Late summer's eve I drift alone,
my destination vague, unknown.
The dory's prow sun-pointed west
on silent waves of layered gold,
a breeze astern subdued, not bold.
My spirit's calm, my soul's at rest
although my catch was small today.
I sit transfixed by this display,
aware that I am truly blessed.
