Endless Summer Days

by Sugarray77

Amphion Poetry Contest Contest Winner
Wild roses blossom, grow en masse,
blue cloudless skies,
soft summer sighs,
my languid daydreams flit and pass.

Coy, lazy tease,
of timid breeze.

I lay upon my back and gaze,
our hammock bed,
enfolds my head,
these peaceful, tranquil, endless days.

Soft twilight air is shaded blue
Cool breezes blow
As stars all glow
Reflecting lights of purest hue

Dim half-light wanes
Dark window panes

These minutes ceding day to night
Sift like the sands
Through open hands
Eternal moments lost from sight
