You Entered My Heart

I languished.
Alone, I longed
for a love connection.
Through the passage of years
my soul was sad, lacking direction –
all my dreams had ended in tears.

Then calmly, so gently,
you entered my heart.
Your hand reached out and I felt no doubt
that this was the beginning
of a brave new start.

We touched, shared a kiss,
and yes, it was bliss!
Now you warm my whole soul
at your embracing hearth –
you led me to safety along love’s path.

We match each other in so many ways,
for a future of warmth and togetherness.
I murmur a prayer of joyful praise –
God Bless!
