When Inspiration Visits Contest Entry

Give Thy Pen Life (acrostic)

      Gems found within the depth of ink and quill
      Infusing every sight and sound and touch
      Veiled softly in the senses we instill
      Enhancing art the parchment craves so much
      Together with the skill of crafting verse
      Harmoniously woven into thought
      Your passion with your dreams shall intersperse
      Persuading any precious visions sought
      Elusive are the words at times to find
      No obstacles need dampen talent's way
      Leave burdens that are bathed in doubt behind
      Imagination builds on one's forte
      Forever I shall let mine heart fulfill
      Eternal is the ink upon thy quill
