The special night when they turn on the lights

The Christmas lights.

I watch with anticipation
The start of the celebration
They check each illumination
ready for the transformation.

They've used such imagination
I believe it's a collaboration
of ideas and joint creation
from many people of the nation

Such a joyful presentation
A seasonal sensation
The countdown ends conversation
The lights flash on WOW ... cheers and elation
