The Date

by DragonSkulls

Today was the day. My friend was coming over later with his wife and her
friend from work. I had things to do before hand. The alarm went off and I looked
outside. The sun was coming up and I said to myself, "Looks like it's going to
be a day."

I dressed, brushed my teeth and left for the store. I wanted some cologne and a
hat so I could look and smell for my date tonight.

I was walking to the store where everything is a dollar to grab the stuff I needed.
There was a woman with a child in a stroller. I stopped to admire the infant,
then said, "You have such a baby."

"Thanks?"

I bought my hat and cologne and went home.

When they showed up, introductions were made. Her name was Brenda. She had
eyes and a voice. When she spoke, words came out of her mouth. It sounded like
poetry. I shook her hand and caught her perfume. She smelled. She looked around
the place and said, "You have a home."

"I'm glad you like it. So, where are we going to eat?" I asked.

Ted answered, "We're headed to Corral. I hear they have food on the buffet."

When we left, I put on my hat and Brenda said, "I like your fedora, it looks on you."

"It's new."

After we stuffed ourselves at Corral, I said, "Man, all that food was."

Everyone agreed.

Next, we went to a movie. Brenda and I had popcorn. I wiped butter on her pants undetected.

As we left, she said, "I hated the part where the guy killed the character."

"But it was still a movie."

Back at my place when they were leaving, she said, "I had a time."

"Me too. Can I see you again?"

"How about week?"

"That sounds. What time?

"Pick me up at o'clock?"

"Okay."

She kissed me goodnight with lips.

The night ended. While lying in bed, I wondered if adjectives could have made this
night any better. Then said, "Of course not, tonight was."
