You have the Power

It has been said for eons
that hope springs eternal.
But the fact of the matter
is hope comes at a price!

There is a bad bug around the globe
we all need that extra measure of hope
that you do take care and use soap,
if sick, stay at home, don't be a dope!

You see, some of us are at greater risk
and this bug seeks hosts at the flick of the wrist
Selfishly, my hope is we can all stay alive,
that everyone has lots of years still to thrive.

So, I hope you will use common sense
and this will give us all more of a chance.
People at risk will not be as incensed
for not thinking about people who are trying to cope.

While we all would prefer a nice big hug
please don't, until we are rid of this bug!
Let us hope that you'll give a virtual high five,
just so we know that we are are still together and alive.

Hope does spring eternal even while we feel the vise
squeezing life, so to all those, you come across,
be nice and wash our hands twice.
Then our hopes will squash this coronavirus!

Now is the time that we all can do something for our fellow man and it simply will not cost you a dime. Just practice, what we should do all the time, good hygiene and use common sense. We are all in this together, around the world, what a great opportunity for human beings to bring hope alive globally, just by doing your part!
