Sonnet of Nonsense

Funny Nonsense Poem Contest Winner

Animal Unique: Platypus

While milking my rhinoceros in Rome,
the penguins charged my debit card for fish.
I bought a magic lamp from Frank the gnome.
The genie told me I don't get a wish.

My neighbor's gothic pig wears chains and spikes.
The butter on my Ford was playing Bach.
My Twitter page seems scarcely void of likes.
My wife wants me to dress like Mister Spock.

But why is yesterday so far behind,
if yet tomorrow ducks may never quack?
Must all my dreams of staples be unkind?
Will we submit when platypi attack?

There's clearly no one piloting the plane,
while nonsense coats the cells within my brain.
