a 60 word story
Snake Oil Medicine
by Bill Schott
The professor loosened his grip on the beaker. After drinking the solution, he had hoped to feel relief from his arthritis. Sliding off his stool, he proceeded to the exit, still expecting a positive result.
Realizing, before leaving the room, that none of his joints ached anymore, tongue darting, he slithered through the slightly open door to show his colleagues.
