Some love is...

Unfixable

by Boogienights

I first, with my two disbelieving eyes,
saw you smile and laugh without a care.
My sore heart beat faster, no surprise.
You were much like an angel standing there.

Love came to us quickly, we can't deny,
all past hurts and doubts, we wiped away clean.
Kept you safe in my arms, wiped your tears dry,
time itself stopped when you came on the scene. 

Through years we flourished in our happy state,
then something changed that was hard to define.
Filthy thoughts grew, your love turned to hate,
no longer able to claim you were mine.

Dark now is my world, devoid of the sun.
The pain that you caused will not be undone.
