Taking care of a little sister
Mom's Helper by BethShelby
    Golden Oldies Contest Winner

My little sister just turned two.
I’ll teach her how to tie her shoe.
There’s many things that I can do.
She needs to learn to do them too.

Mom says she will look up to me.
And where I am, she’ll want to be.
I watch her until Mom is free,
so she won’t fall and skin her knee.

I keep her from the bugs that sting.
Sometime I push her in her swing,
and teach her little songs to sing.
Mom’s happy when she learns a thing.

Mom knows she can depend on me,
but I’ll be glad when Sis turns three.
