Mother Nature's favored child is waking,
and once again, with her touch, she'll renew.
Her lovely gifts, soon, will be for the taking,
all that we see will be shiny and new.
The birds and the bees will then take their place,
singing and buzzing, to their tasks, they are true.
Moving along at their natural pace,
Spring will see to it, she knows what to do.
Then she will smile when her work is done,
she'll wait for her sister to make her debut.
Summer, she will blossom beneath blazing sun,
her gifts, as well, will sustain me and you.
But for now, Spring dances joyful and free,
splashing her colors wherever she may.
Her creations delightful, wherever they be,
sweetly she'll sleep at the end of each day.
