The breath of spring bestows a kiss
That melts the frosty ground
And brings renewal to the land
So spry green sprouts abound
Warm droplets fall from swollen clouds
And grounds that once seemed dead
Find refreshing life again
From sleeping floral beds
A canopy of leafy whorls
Comes forth to touch the sky
And birds begin to build their nests
As all of this comes nigh
Spring Peepers sing a lovely song
That drifts across the air
With promises they soon will mate
With lady frogs so fair
Bright colors reach out far and wide
With not one space amiss
As Spring beguiles the world again
With her sweet dewdrop kiss
