I have a fault I must admit,
and it is one that's hard to quit.
I eat too much, I'm not sure why,
from soup, to nuts, to apple pie.
Junk food's my favorite thing of all,
I know it will be my downfall.
Loaded with sugar, fat, and salt,
no doubt this is my biggest fault.
I love my carbs a bit too much,
potatoes, pasta, rice, and such.
I pile on the pounds each day,
I'd like to stop, is there a way?
Wish I were on a desert Isle,
and be left there for quite a while.
With only coconuts to eat,
then my problem I might defeat.
But groceries are down the street,
they sell the things I like to eat.
Tried diet pills, weight watchers too,
I start off well but soon I'm through.
Must I accept this fate for me?
Caught in the throes of gluttony?
Sometimes it makes me want to cry,
over my big mac and large fry.
This is a problem and it's sad,
to stop this madness I'd be glad.
Do you have problems like this too?
I'm sure that many people do.
Next Monday I will go low carb,
and fit into much smaller garb.
And so much happier I'll be,
from overeating I'll be free.
