Resolutions sincerely spoken
Sadly end up often broken.
Last year in twenty twenty-one
So many things I should have done.
I promised I would have more fun
And join a gym and start to run.
I'd take up yoga and study French
And trim my waist another inch.
Oh yes, that was my true intent,
But that's not how my last year went.
Instead I binged on HBO
And watched my waistline grow and grow.
So now for twenty twenty-two
Here is what I plan to do.
No resolutions I will make
With lofty goals to undertake.
Instead I'll just resolve to be
A happier, healthier, kinder me.
